Submarine Air Monitoring & Air Purification (SAMAP)
Since 1994, the SAMAP International Symposium has served as a premier technical forum for the global submarine community, bringing together industry, government, and research professionals to advance the science and practice of submarine air monitoring and air purification.
SAMAP provides a focused environment for the exchange of ideas, research findings, and emerging technologies related to sustaining a physiologically acceptable submarine atmosphere. Delegates from around the world gather to present technical papers, share operational insights, and explore innovations that support crew health, safety, and mission readiness.
Technical sessions address a wide range of topics, including submarine atmospheric monitoring and control, indoor air quality, medical and physiological considerations, and Submarine Escape and Rescue (SMER) research. In addition to formal presentations, SAMAP’s social events create meaningful opportunities for collaboration, networking, and the sharing of ideas beyond the conference platform.
All SAMAP meetings are conducted at the Unclassified level. The working language of the symposium is English, with no translation services provided. Attire for all events is civilian business casual.
